Water: its impact on your health and beauty state

Water before was very emphasized for beauty and health most especially but these days I hear nothing. So I’m going to talk about the use of water based on my experiences and how it improved everything for me: how it impacts health and overall appearance.

1. Water for a soft skin

I have actually used water to improve my skin. It works well. Water cleanses the blood, it provides oxygen to the cells which is essential for the health of the cell cycle and so leads to refreshment and youthfulness of the cell and this cleanses the pores around the skin.

I advise what you do is when you wake up, drink water. Avoid drinking cold water as it clogs the skin pores by shrinking and it reduces blood flow. Everyday at least in the morning I drank 4 cups of warm water. My skin became smoother and supple. I just had to jot them down.

Warm water in the morning can cause pain when on an empty stomach and it seems drawy in the mouth. It wasn’t so cool but it worked. Thing is I’m just a lazy girl these days but the day I decide to do something, I will continue all over again.

2. Water for health

It is said that when someone is sick,he or she should drink water and it is also said that health is wealth. Since water has the power to renew the body,if you’re sick just keep yourself hydrated and drink lots of water.

Have you noticed that when someone is in a bad state or sick they don’t have a good looking appearance ,even without the make-up ‘cuz there’s no smile 🀷? That’s because the body is weak. Water removes toxic waste and helps with blood flow for proper healing of the cells.

It also aids in digestion of food which aids for the good passage of waste and eventually a good digestive and excretory system making the body system clean.

Please keep a bottle of water besides you or someone else who is sick. It will help a lot.

3. Water for improving mental health

Water improves the mental state of a person. Whenever I’m stressed I drink water. The head pounds and I drink my water. It helps relieve the pressure and reduce pains

4. Eye care and health

Water does a great job at relieving stress on the eyes. When you have eye pain or you feel your eyes are unstable ,drink water to wash the eyes. I noticed that when I drink water when having such a problem it’s like my eyes turn wet. This keeps the eyes clean.

5. Hair growth

Water helps with good movement of nutrients found in the blood,head and hair included. The water deals with dandruff by cleaning the follicles, washing your hair also helps, and the nutrients will be moved in the hair follicles with even and high spread and the hair will have a healthy growth.

6. Weight loss

Do you know that water aids with weight loss? I always advice against cold water because it reduces blood flow and increases risk of restrictions on the heart. Warm water or almost hot water helps to shed fat and reduces waste and fat in the body.

Ear wax: A solution for some skin problems

The ear is a very known organ specialized in receiving sound from around your environment and transmitting it to the brain for interpretation and possible response to stimuli. Do you know that the ear is also responsible for balance? The ear does do important things but today I am going to talk more about the ear wax and what possibilities it has to solve some skin problems.

The ear wax in the ear is produced and secreted by the wax glands protects the ear in a lot of ways. It keeps the ear sealed from tiny insects and particles that enter into the ear and keeps the ear disinfected thereby increasing the immunity of the ear.

The ear wax contains a certain purifying substance that cleanses the ear and keeps it clean and free from germs. I also heard a story from my mother about how, when she was young,a friend used ear wax to deal with the boil on her skin.

Ear wax can be used to deal with the skin problems such as boil and pimple. It can be smelly and disgusting but I just had to it and it worked gradually. Just apply on your skin. Another alternative is Palm oil if you don’t want disgusting but it stains clothes easily so apply with care.

Also, doctors advice against picking your ear so you could ask your doctor about what you can do about it.

Sure ways to increase your hair length by a quarter in a month.

In this post, I’m going to show you short simple and easy natural ways to increase your hair grow by a quarter in a month.

I love my hair and people still ask “What do you use? 🀣. I love dodging questions but today I will tell you some things you might not know that will surely do the trick and also, proper ways to do it to make it work.

1. Avoid use of artificials and perming

One of the best ways I was able to make my hair better was by denying myself the use of relaxers. By doing this, I was able to make my hair self reliant (but with some natural tools) and this makes it natural.

Also, when you stop using relaxers, your permed hair tends to fall off gradually and allows for the new hair to come forth. The difference? My natural hair is curly and thicker than permed hair and also very dark too so it’s a plus.

So if you want to grow your hair super, either male or female, avoid dyeing and hair sprays. There are other alternatives and much desirable and long lasting too.

2. Use of natural ingredients

When you decide to stop the use of artificials, the next thing is to move to the side of nature. Adopting this gradually will be of help. One of my beauty post has a list of so many natural ingredients you can find around you and/or make for yourself at home and how to apply it. 3. Washing habit

Depending on your type of hair, you should always have a hair washing routine. Do not wash your hair daily or without planning or you could lose essential hair oilsh responsible for hair growth. Also, over washing of the hair could lead to hair breakage, change in hair colour,weak hair strands and reduced hair growth ( from experience). Depending on hair length,use the following washing routines.

If your hair is short like fade or navy cut, wash daily but apply little oil and comb. If you have short hair but at least neck length,wash once a week, apply your conditioner and oils, comb in, massage your hair and if possible cover your hair after applying your hair care products to heat it up and make it even on your hair.

If you have long hair,a week to 2 weeks duration hair washing routine will help. Minimal application of hair oils or better still to the roots. Mind you, when you have this type of hair length, not much needs to be done on it but you should also mind how you hold your hair together.

4. Brushing of hair

Do you know that brushing and combing through your hair from the roots increase blood flow and pressure which will also reduce dandruff and closed pores and also increase blood and nutrient flow to the hair follicles. Practicing this will be very easy and help with your hair growth practices.

5. Good food

Try as much as possible to drink lots of milk as it contains biotin essential for hair growth. And other proteins too. Also drink lots of water and eat lots of fruits and vegetables as they cleanse, remove toxins and add nutrients to your body. And increased immune system and whole health is essential for proper growth of the entire body including the hair.

Ways to look good without makeup.

So this is my first post since a long time that I am publishing now due to some developments in my life. Sorry πŸ₯Ί. So I am hoping that I will be able to post something educative and about what I love doing best. Natural makeover 😱🀯!

I know that most of my gal pals love to add makeup,at least, some powder and carving, that’s ok but some things we want to go at least natural for a day or two to appreciate both sides. If you have not done that before, I’m going to tell you my method.

I’m going to give you some tips about how to look good naturally without makeup at least for a day. I’m hoping this will be of help to you and you are not confused. If you are, please say something cuz I am confusing at times.

Please pay attention! The following ways are sure and applying them will ease everything.

  • Be confident

I’m very sure that most people apply makeup to make them feel more comfortable and confident in themselves but if you want to go without makeup and know what it feels like, trust in your natural look and see yourself as looking as beautiful as you are with make up on.

Just exude that confidence and those around you will notice your beauty, inside and outside.

  • Dress up

In order to ease your confidence, dress up well for that special occasion or just for yourself. Dress to please yourself and make yourself happy. Don’t dress up in uncomfortable and immodest dressing as you might feel bad and uneasy.

  • Smile

Do you know that a smile can make one’s day 🀷? It not only does that but it makes you look even more beautiful and happy and you live longer too. Try putting up with things in your life. Be strong. Smile and ease your troubles and calm your thoughts. You don’t know who’s falling in love with your smile.

Keep smiling because you never know who's falling in love with your smile.

N.B.: Do NOT fake a smile. Let it come on your face because of your happy memories.

  • Take good care of yourself

Proper care of yourself and self love is just about enough to make you see a light at the end of the tunnel. Take proper care of yourself by eating balanced meals, especially lots of fruits and vegetables, exercising, sleeping well, cultivating healthy habits, ensuring proper health of both mind and body. This is sure to do the trick.

  • Self-appreciation

Always appreciate your capabilities, your decisions, everything about you. Do NOT have an excuse for being you and this is what I have learnt. I used to think I was not in any way good looking and not beautiful but everyone has his or her own views and I have accepted myself for who I really am. That I’m beautiful. And the moment you accept that about, others will have no other choice than to see you as beautiful.


In conclusion, what I am just trying to say is that being yourself is all that matters is accepting yourself for who you really are and appreciating all about you. Not just you but me and everyone around us cuz what God has created is good and marvelous in our sight.

All things being equal, I want you to stay safe as I know only the living is reading this now cuz they keep increasing. Stay safe for me andone love.

Increasing your height even when you think you can’t grow taller.

In the world that we are living in today, our height goes a long way in describing us and also giving us opportunities to pursue our dreams. Careers such as modelling and working in the army seem to require tall folks for the job but is everyone that tall enough?

After all my research, observations and the likes, I have found out that getting that height is not just a simple wish but it can actually come true. Cutting the long story short, the following are sure ways to actually increase your height.

  • High πŸ‘ 

Do you know that wearing high heeled shoes / high heels πŸ‘  can actually increase your height. I have tried it and noticed it quite a lot that women who wear heels very often noticed an increase in their height. So, if you feel you are not tall enough, try the ‘Heel method’. If this should work, do NOT forget to share your feedback.

  • Stretches

Another way to increase your height is to do some stretching. Stretching ,which is also a way of exercising your body, is another alternative to heels, especially for the men.

There are so many unique ways you could stretch your body. An example is basketballing. Have you noticed that most basketballers are super tall. This is also to prove my point.

Other examples are just simple stretches you do in your leisure time, jumping, skipping, sleeping with your body totally spread on the bed.

  • Eating proteineous foods

Also, chunking proteineous meals can also help you achieve this dream especially if you begin from an early age. Take lots of beans, eggs and protein.

If you notice any stunt in your growth and you are not yet 50, you know what I mean, then consult your doctor. It could be there is an undersecretion of the hormone thyroxin by the thyroid gland.

  • Posture

This is another way for you to get your desired height but it is not all about your posture but maintaining a good posture at that.

A good posture means standing straight without ducking or bending your neck, sitting with a good posture on your chair, laying in a comfortable manner on your bed or couch.

By keeping a good posture, you give your body and opportunity to stretch and straighten up.

Ways to grow long or longer lashes


When I was still in secondary school, there was a day when someone looked at my lashes,I was wearing glasses then, and she said that my lashes were long. I never really noticed it but she isn’t the only one😁. What’s my secret? I will revealed them in this post.

My secrets to longer lashes

Originally,I have long lashes but I decided to experiment on them to get longer eyelashes. Since I prefer to be natural/organic,what I will tell you should be safe enough for use by anyone. I will love to get your feedback after trying them out.

  • Aloe vera

Aloe vera, like I have mentioned in my previous posts,is very good for hair growth. Logically, eyelashes are hairs, just found close to the eye and part of the eyelids so I tried it out.

Just apply the gel on the lashes, especially from the roots and you will see the results within 2 weeks. For more noticeable results, apply continuously, day and night and ensure it gets on your eyelashes.

  • Olive oil

Olive oil is also one of the tools you could use to get your required lash length,also good for hair growth. Just ensure, as always that it touches the base of your eyelashes. Apply mostly at night,don’t forget to remove makeup first, wash your face then rub it on and go to sleep. If you are a risk taker, then apply it in the morning but be careful.

  • Avocado oil

I also recommend avocado oil. Reasons? Well,this oil i.e. avocado oil helps to improve shine,has so many nutrients in it and grows hair thicker and makes it to shine. Just apply it on your eyelashes and you are set but for the best results, do it daily.

  • Castor oil

Castor oil can also be used to increase eyelash growth. Just apply daily, be careful when doing so,and ensure all makeup is removed.

  • Coconut oil

Coconut oil is also recommended to increase lash growth and also grow longer hair if you want to.

Tips to improve general health and appearance.

Healthy ways to alleviate sicknesses that are chronic.

It is said that health is wealth and I want to reveal some natural ways you can reduce symptoms of sicknesses while at the same time curing it which include the following.

  • Drink warm water

You read this right. Drinking warm water is a ‘slow and steady’ habit to have. Warm water has been written and read about online but truth is for sure that ‘Experience is the best teacher’. Even just drinking water early in the morning, as long as it isn’t cold or chilled, is also beneficial because I tried it once. I remember when I used to do this, just drinking water when I wake up, and I noticed my skin was softer and smoother than usual .

N.B.:It must not be immediately you wake up. Also, you might feel pain in your abdomen as you drink it,like it’s pulling you in. Don’t know why but I think it’s because you are empty.

  • Go for regular check ups

If I ever had the chance to do things my own way,I would go for check ups. No,regular check ups. Check ups can actually help you to keep track of yourself and also updates you on your health status. Some means by which the government of my country help to encourage this is the affordable Primary health care centre in each district.

I would advice you to go at least once in two weeks. You could also get a first aid box in case of emergency.

  • Exercise

Exercises are good for the body,or at least that’s what the doc says. Why is it good? When exercising, our body, everything in and on us begins to follow the route we decide to go. It’s either we are walking or stretching or weight lifting. Our body does our bidding.

Exercising makes the blood to circulate faster which means more elimination of toxic waste, movement of our hormones to target organs quicker while toning the muscles and increasing agility. Just logic.

If you ask me, I think that exercising makes the cells overworked, stressed, worn out, you get what I mean and that makes the body to respond by the replacement of worn out tissues and production of new cells. What do you think?

  • Eat fruits and vegetables

Eating fruits and vegetables can actually reduce the effect of sicknesses. Sure most of you know that but do you know that you have to be specific. For example, if you have indigestion issues, reduce your intake of bananas and if you are pregnant, do not eat papaya/pawpaw.

The question is this: What food should I eat at least to alleviate the illness. This is what I found. (Expo: I will soon release a new post about the vitamins and minerals for health and beauty with foods that contains them so be prepared)

Food/fruits and vegetables I recommend

Now this doesn’t mean you can’t consult your doctor,just for your knowledge.

  • Apple

Sure you have heard an apple a day keeps the doctor away. This is so because it contains trace elements like boron and also contains other vitamins.

  • Plantain

Plantain is really good for anaemia patients but the unripe plantain is the best. It is also recommended for young girls/women during mensuration because it gives a lot of iron which is needed for blood formation and energy, due to the loss of blood.

  • Fish
  • Liver
  • Cereals
  • Egg yolk
  • Rice
  • Heart
  • Whole grains
  • Yeast
  • Meat,e.t.c.

These ingredients, both organic and natural, help to keep you looking younger than you already are. Some do not only work on the face but also on your entire body. One of the products on the list that I tried attracted attention to me. I will tell you which later in the post but read on.

Natural and organic ingredients that gives you a younger you.

Some were tested and proven by me. Others well known by the world even I don’t need to convince you. The list’s below.

  • Aloe vera

Aloe vera is a well known plant that not only has medicinal and health related properties but also helps to keep the body looking younger. Just slice some aloe vera and rub the gel on your face. Since it dries your face ,it will be right to moisturize your face. You also have the choice to leave it on your face for 15 or more mins and rinse with cold water.

You could also drink the diluted form, just dilute the gel with lots of water. It is very bitter so ,add some sweet honey to it. It will increase longevity of life cells by improving cell immunity of the body. Consult your doctor before going into it.

  • Star flower oil

I am very sure that by doing this, I am actually improving the business of the producers and retailers of this product. I am quite sure not all of you know about this wonder oil and plant because it is found in the Mediterranean.

Star flower oil has been proven to keep the skin looking younger and drinking it daily has also been proven to rejuvenate the body organs. They are sold in wholesale shops online. You can also search for it on Google.

  • Honey

This is the product I was talking about in my intro. I went to school and all were looking at me. How weird😏. I got my answer at the end of school for that day when my inspiration i.e. the push for me creating this blog, told me that I was looking more beautiful and younger than usual. This is my trick.

Before taking my bath and going to school that day, I poured honey on my face and rubbed it all over. Honey’s sticky. During my bath,I used warm water to wash my face,mind you, live it on your face for 30 or more mins.

  • Water

Water is very useful in increasing longevity which also means a younger you. Drink water daily as it washes away toxins and free radicals on your body. A daily cup of warm water daily is enough. Also washing your face and skin before sleeping at night and after waking up is a good start.

  • Olive oil

Olive oil is also known to make the skin look lovelier than usual and since it is a healthy oil, it will be good to use it for cooking.

Natural ingredients to grow long hair.


Related to my How to grow long hair post,this will be the natural tools you can use which are herbs, fruits, seeds,e.t.c.. Remember from my post that I told you I had long hair until I made a mistake while caring for my hair. Two (2) years ago,I decided to use one of the herbs found in my compound and within 2wks,my hair grew longer than I expected and also thicker and more manageable. The following herbs, used from age to age, are the most used natural ingredients for increased hair growth.

Nature’s herbs.

  • Aloe vera.

One of these natural plants I used is the Aloe vera. It is the plant/herb which I used to solve the problem that happened two years ago. Since I went to a day school(now an alumni) and we were given hair styles to plait,it might seem hard but it wasn’t. For 2 consecutive weeks, I applied its gel on my scalp while applying it on the sides of the braid at night before I slept. At the end of the 2 weeks, my hair, after loosing it,was found to be longer. Even my sister was amazed. So if u want a sure answer, just follow what I have said.   • Onion juice

Onion juice is a well known remedy for hair growth. Based on research, onions have been known to be a natural remedy to cure ailments to hair growth and general well-being of the body.

Onion juice can be bought or prepared at home. All you have to do is pour it on your hair or spray it,which is a lot more easier,stimulate your scalp by massaging for a few mins,leave on your hair before you wash it.

  • Rice water

Rice water is one of the most popular hair care products to promote long hair growth. It is said to contain a protein, I am surprised though but it seems it is this protein that promotes hair growth.

I remember when I used rice water for the first time on my hair. I poured it on my hair and combed it(my hair) then covered my hair for 5 mins then removed the hair cover,improvisation is really nice though. When I then decided that I will comb my hair, it felt soft and conditioned. Natural but wow.

Just get a few cups of rice ,cover and soak it in water for 15-30 mins ,wash your rice first though, then separate the water from the rice. The water should be kept in a clean storage container for easy use. Also,I have read some where that the removed starch after cooking your rice works as well. I tried it and it works too but the rice water gotten from the uncooked rice works better for me because of my hair type.

  • Olive oil

Olive oil has been used since ancient middle east from Israel to Lebanon. Olive oil isn’t so thick and greasy. It is also one of the best known healthy oils used in cooking. Olive oil adds shine and increases hair growth. It also gives skin a beautiful olive or at least a beautiful colour. The most common I know in my country are Goya Olive oil and Robert’s Quality Olive oil.

Pears baby Olive oil works very well. Just apply on your hair and comb through. It is one of my most popular choices even though olive oil seems not to go deep into the skin because of its density. I will really advice you to go for it for a darker and/or beautiful hair.

  • Shea butter
Shea butter

This is another natural ingredient used to make shea butter. It is processed through a long means but does come out well. Though thick and smelly too,there is no fact denying that shea butter works to grow the hair longer than it was already.

Because it is very thick and can be supes greasy,I advice you use it in small quantity when applying on your hair. Also ,it melts when heated or let me say exposed to sunlight and high temp. so keep it in a cool dry storage container that is airtight and closed properly.

  • Petroleum jelly
Vaseline Blue Seal Petroleum jelly.

I am quite sure some of you know about the benefits of Vaseline for hair growth so I don’t need to dwell on it that much. It is actually organic i.e. made from hydrocarbons so it is actually safe. Just apply on your hair daily, not so much and comb through.

  • Black seed oil

Black seed oil was recently acknowledged to be one of the best hair growth boosters in the world. It also darkens the hair and increases its volume and shine.

  • Coconut oil

Coconut oil is also very popular and used for improved hair growth. A former classmate of mine uses coconut oil for her hair, though she relaxes her hair often, and her hair is really long. Since it can be greasy,don’t rub too much. One thing is for sure, your hair must breathe.

If you pour too much so that it is very oily,it will be just like pouring water into the lungs or filling your lungs with much water that you can’t breathe. If the forest is flooded, the nutrients will go away with it but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have nutrients but an overdose can be bad.

  • Milk

Milk has protein in it and is organic or natural ,let’s say because it comes from dairy animals. Well,as Peak would say, drink milk every day. It has other benefits too but let’s stick with this for now.

  • Almond oil

Almond oil is said to grow the hair longer. Don’t know about that really because it seems really scarce in my country but since it is testified to grow the hair longer, what’s the harm in trying?

  • Neem(Dogonyaro) oil

Dogonyaro is the Hausa tribe native name for this plant. It smells but not as bad as Onion juice/oil. It works very effectively with anti inflammatory properties. Also used to promote good health of the body. Try it and please share, if it helps.

  • Watermelon seed oil

My sister read online about this oil. I am really surprised that this oil exists. Why isn’t it popular then. Anyways, she told me that way to make it according to the site. We tried it but it didn’t work. LolπŸ˜‚. I am done trying but that doesn’t mean I can’t share it with you. Try it and see if it works.

According to what I heard,it has lots of goodies I ain’t going into yet for the sake of the title but at least, this is the procedure according to the site.

  1. Get some watermelon seeds.
  2. Sun-dry them or heat them to dryness.
  3. Strain or remove the oil by squeezing

Try to use as much seed as possible. I will try it again. I know I wrote I am done trying but at least, let me give it another chance. Just for trying sake.
